01. Shanghai Dumplings – 23 Tattersalls Lane, Chinatown.
5/5 - I’ve never had a dumpling better than the ones here. I think it has a lot to do with their soy sauce. Yum!

I’d been dilligently trying to manage my money in order to pay off my stupid credit card debt. I was being so stingy with my money so that I could have it paid off asap. I managed to do this just in time for my birthday. I guess it was technically after my birthday but that’s only because I get paid monthly. My birthday was on 09/09/10 and pay day wasn’t until 16/09/10. At least it happened in my birthday month and I knew I’d be debt free later in the month, so acted debt free on my birthday anyway and spent my money on whatever I pleased
When pay day rolled around, I paid off the remaining balance on my visa card and damn that felt good! All the money I make is mine now! Time to start saving for my epic 2011 US/Europe holiday.
I finally moved! I’ve been living south side for far too long. Andrew and I eventually found an awesome apartment exactly where we wanted. It took s a few months of house hunting but we weren’t really in any rush. Moving was a bitch, but well worth it in the end.
My new view from my bedroom window:
Ok so for my birthday, Sarah planned the day all out and we went up the Eureka tower. We decided against going out on the actual edge because that cost an extra $20 or soemthign stupid AND we weren’t allowed to take out camers out there. boo to that. We took plenty of photos from up there anyway, including on the outside ledge, so the extra money seemed like a waste.
It was a pretty sweet view from up there:
This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now and finally did two days ago. I jumped in the car with Sarah and we drove towards Stawell in order to pass the wind farm, Caspers miniature world, and visit the Grampians.
My favourite photos from the wind farm were these:

Ok so I’ve been super slack with updating this blog, however I have been busy crossing things off my list.
One new recipie – as simple as it is – was this salad that will be added to my small selection of repeat recipies. First time making it was for Sarah’s bday dinner on 24/11/10, second time was for xmas day dinner. I don’t think I have any photos of that particular dish, so next time I make it, I’ll take a photo. Yum!
The recipie was taken from “How it all Vegan” by Sarah Kramer & Tanya Barnard.
One new recipie down, 4 to go!
